Bristol Motor Speedway Gears Up for NASCAR Return After MLB Event

After hosting the MLB Speedway Classic featuring the Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds in early August 2025, Bristol Motor Speedway is racing to prepare for its much-anticipated NASCAR events scheduled for later this year. Known as one of NASCAR’s most iconic short tracks, Bristol will once again host two major three-day weekends featuring all three of NASCAR’s marquee series: the Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Craftsman Truck Series.

The transition from the baseball diamond back to the roaring engines of stock car racing highlights the versatility of this legendary venue, which is steeped in racing history. The first NASCAR weekend will occur April 11-13, 2025, featuring the Weather Guard Truck Race, SciAps 300 for the Xfinity Series, and the famed Food City 500 for the Cup Series. Returning with a nostalgic flair, the Food City 500 weekend will embrace a 1990s retro theme, a crowd favorite that celebrates Bristol’s rich tradition and draws in fans of all ages. Tickets remain affordable, with children 12 and under receiving discounted or free admission on select race days when accompanied by an adult.

The second highly anticipated race weekend is set for September 11-13, 2025, kicking off with the UNOH 200 (Craftsman Truck Series), followed by the Food City 300 (Xfinity Series), and concluding with the Bass Pro Shops Night Race for the Cup Series. The Bass Pro Shops Night Race is especially revered, known as one of NASCAR’s most electrifying events, taking place under the lights and attracting legions of passionate fans.

Efforts to prepare the speedway for this transition following the MLB event involve extensive track maintenance and logistics coordination to ensure the racing surface and facilities meet NASCAR’s demanding standards. Bristol Motor Speedway officials are focused on delivering a seamless experience for drivers, teams, and fans. Upgrades such as the new luxury Front Stretch Suite (Suite 1961) and premium camping options at Medallion Campground demonstrate the venue’s ongoing commitment to hospitality and fan engagement. These premium amenities include paved campsites with full hookups, free high-speed WiFi, private shuttles, and a gated community atmosphere for a more comfortable and exclusive race weekend experience.

Tickets for NASCAR events are currently available through Bristol Motor Speedway’s official website and ticket service center. Fans can purchase single-day tickets or weekend packages, with special offers enhancing accessibility. Parking and camping bookings are also open, providing fans opportunities to immerse themselves fully in the highly charged atmosphere of Bristol’s legendary race weekends.

As Bristol shifts gears back from hosting American baseball’s excitement to the high-octane world of NASCAR, the stage is set for two blockbuster weekends that celebrate motorsports’ storied past and thrilling present at one of racing’s most cherished venues.
